Moran Zhou is a Melbourne-based wedding saxophonist known for bringing soulful melodies and high-energy dancefloor moments to celebrations across Victoria and beyond. His love for music began early—so early, in fact, that at age seven he was too small to hold a saxophone and had to start on clarinet instead. By 13, he finally took up the sax, and the wait proved worthwhile. With roots in jazz and a natural flair for performance, Moran’s sound has evolved to include romance, modern pop, and dance music, all thoughtfully curated to reflect each couple’s unique taste. Performing under the name “Saxymozz,” Moran offers a versatile wedding entertainment experience, from smooth ceremony serenades and cocktail-hour jazz to full-throttle DJ-sax party sets that light up the dancefloor. He began his journey busking in Melbourne’s CBD—famously as part of a “Bananas in Pyjamas” duo—which led to collaborations with top musicians and a thriving career in weddings. Highlights include performing at Miss Universe Australia events and destination weddings such as Hayman Island.
